Pandaw has released more details on the 60-passenger River Saigon, its newest ship, which will set sail on the new “Timeless Wonders of Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong River” program in January 2012. The ship, which is being built by Pandaw River Cruises and will be operated by Uniworld operate under an exclusive, three-year charter agreement, will feature 30 deluxe river view staterooms at 168 square feet each. Staterooms will have French door entrances with outside sitting areas. The ship will also offer a sun deck with lounge chairs and seating areas, a full-service bar, a separate lounge for meetings and relaxation, and a restaurant. Complimentary wine will be included with dinner, and complimentary coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer and cocktails will be available throughout the day.
Thirteen days of included shore excursions will be conducted by experienced, English-speaking local guides for small groups of no more than 20 passengers, which will visit floating villages, local markets and temples, including the ruins and temple complex at Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The 14-night itinerary will operate between Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, Vietnam, and includes Cambodia’s Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Angkor Wat. The seven-night cruise will sail between Kampong Cham in Cambodia and My Tho in Vietnam. For the land portion of the program, guests will spend seven nights in deluxe hotels. The land portion also includes buffet breakfast, service charges and porterage. At the hotels, the guests will receive private check-in with welcome drinks and in-room welcome flowers and fruit. At the Victoria Angkor Hotel & Spa, each guest will receive a personalized, monogrammed bathrobe to keep. Optional pre- or post-cruise extensions, including Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, and Bangkok, Thailand, will also be available.
Uniworld will offer 21 departures starting in January 2012 and expand to 31 departures in 2013.
