Ba Be recognised as the third Ramsar in Vietnam
What NewsCulture guidesGeneral guidesTourist attractions

Ba Be National Park in the northern province of Bac Kan has been recognised as the third wetland of international importance (Ramsar) in Vietnam after Xuan Thuy National Park and Bau Sau in Cat Tien National Park.

Covering a total area of nearly 500ha, Ba Be National Park has one of the 20 most beautiful freshwater lakes in the world, which was also listed around the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEANS) heritage parks.

Ba Be is an important ecotourism area in the northeastern mountainous region with 21 popular tourist sites.

The Vietnam Department of Biodiversity Conservation and the Ramsar Administrative Authority in Vietnam also hopes to nominate Tram Chim as Vietnam’s fourth Ramsar.
