Travel NewsCulture guidesGeneral guidesTourist attractions

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will make its first scheduled flight from Danang to Japan on December 21 and an additional flight from Danang to Hong Kong on December 23.

The offering of more direct flights from Da Nang is expected to help boost tourism and investment in the central city.

Additionally, Taiwan’s TransAsia Airlines has also announced it will operate a direct flight from Taipei to Danang on December 26. At first, Transasia Airlines will make two flights a week and plans to increase the frequency in 2010.

Transasia Airlines will be the second foreign airline to make direct flights to Danang after Silk Air from Singapore.
